EMPLOYMENT TYPE: Fixed Term Contract for 12 months

LOCATION: Syston

SALARY: Up to £27,000 per annum

HOURS: Monday to Friday 35 hours per week

 

JR Personnel are an employment agency acting on behalf of a client who is looking for an experienced Accounts Assistant to join their finance team on a 12-month fixed-term contract basis.

The Opportunity:

Due to continued growth and drive for process improvement, this role is now available, offering support to the Financial Operations team from the company’s Leicestershire-based office, assisting with all day-to-day activities and providing support on a wider basis when required, including sickness and holiday cover.

Role profile:

  • Aged debt credit control duties
  • Create and execute external payments
  • Cash posting
  • Direct Debit default administration
  • Outbound payments for London and Leicester offices
  • Monitor and respond to queries in the shared inbox
  • Payment processing duties
  • Ongoing analysis and investigation of aged debt
  • Various other duties as and when required

 

Person profile:

  • Accounting technical knowledge
  • Previous experience in a similar role
  • Ideally experience working within a financial services environment
  • Experience of cash-allocation and minimising unallocated cash
  • Confident, can-do attitude
  • Excellent Excel skills
  • Friendly, team player who can hit the ground running.
