Hours: Monday to Thursday 9am–5.15pm Friday 9am – 4.45pm
JR Personnel are an employment agency acting on behalf of a client who is looking for an Events Manager to provide efficient and effective work to organise all the events for the organisation.
Overall Role:
You will devise and oversee the delivery of our clients successful and growing nationwide events programme in line with their strategic ambitions and team targets
Leading the Events Team in the management and execution of events, conferences and residential events and ensure robust systems and processes underpin the organisation of all events, as well as being integrated with their digital infrastructure.
Ensure all policies and procedures are adhered to across the organisation
Role Profile:- Secure strategic partnerships and relationships which will add value and impact to all events
- Lead the planning and delivery of our clients National Conference & Exhibition and annual Awards Dinner
- Influence staff at all levels to ensure they are informed of project progress, risks and mitigation plans as required
- Manage the planning and implementation of designated Events
- Develop and establish effective event management plans with regular progress review and risk management
- Ensure sufficient lead in times are generated for all work, including bids, submissions, contracted and commissioned work
- Manage all third-party suppliers, ensuring all procurement and delivery requirements are met as well as maximising cost efficiencies, and taking relevant environmental considerations into account
- Communicate with external partners, customers and sponsors, ensuring that the information is accurate and appropriate
- Identify improvements to internal systems or processes to improve the customer experience
- Drive forward a culture of best practice and regulatory compliance across the Events Team
- Ensure the CRM is maximised to its full potential within all aspect of Event management and delivery
- Ensure all events and contracts with sponsors are both GDPR compliant and conform to ISO9001 standards
- Manage work programmes and lead the team to meet tight deadlines and adjust to changing demands, without compromising on quality
- Establish robust financial management through effective financial tracking and appropriate procurement processes
- Drive high standards of health and safety and risk management across the team’s portfolio of work
- Attend conferences, camps and other events to support the overall running of the event, working with colleagues and/or directly with delegates
- Support staff by setting clear objectives and holding individual 1-1’s regularly
- Foster a positive atmosphere within the team, modelling effective leadership and making sure the team are aware of opportunities to develop
- Manage the team’s varied workload to ensure targets are achieved, actions delivered, and adequate cover is provided at all times
Person profile:- Experience of delivering high quality events

- Sound IT knowledge to include MS Office and databases
- Ability to work to tight deadlines
- Enthusiastic and hardworking
