EMPLOYMENT TYPE: Fixed Term Contract for 6 months

LOCATION: Syston

SALARY: £26,000 - £28,000 per annum

HOURS: Monday to Friday 35 hours per week. After a period of training there is an opportunity to be offered hybrid working.

 

 

JR Personnel are an employment agency acting on behalf of a client who is looking for an experienced Accounts Assistant to join their finance team on a 6-month fixed-term contract basis. The Opportunity:

Due to continued growth and drive for process improvement, this role is now available, offering support to the Financial Operations team from the company’s Leicestershire-based office, assisting with all day-to-day activities and providing support on a wider basis when required, including sickness and holiday cover. After a period of training there is an opportunity to be offered hybrid working.

Role profile:

  • Assisting with month end balance sheet reconciliation
  • Daily banking and posting of Cash 
  • Credit Control
  • Production of bank reconciliations
  • Liaising with clients and various other departments in the business
  • Dealing with allocated and unallocated cash
  • Setting and meeting objectives as agreed
  • Cover for holidays and absence as and when required

 

Person profile:

  • Accounting technical knowledge
  • Previous experience in a similar role
  • Ideally experience working within a financial services environment
  • Experience of cash-allocation and minimising unallocated cash
  • Confident, can-do attitude
  • Excellent Excel skills
  • Friendly, team player who can hit the ground running.
