LOCATION: Based at home
SALARY: £ According to experience it will be paid on an hourly rate as a PAYE
HOURS: 3 days per week for 5 hours, however flexibility is required to work more as and when business needs dictate
JR Personnel are an employment agency acting on behalf of a client who is looking for an experienced, hands-on Part Time Finance Manager who can deal with all the finance in-house transactions. This is a brand-new position so would suit someone who is very experienced in accounts and can implement new processes and procedures. It would ideally suit a finance professional who has been an accountant in a small business. And someone who is happy to work from home as the company accountant.
Role profile:- Daily management of the finance function
- Production of monthly management accounts
- Planning budgets with quarterly reforecasts
- Management of payroll via an external provider and P11D, PSA returns
- Processing VAT returns
- Processing company house filings
- Dealing with annual insurance review/renewals
- Managing the annual R&D tax claim
- Assisting in drawing up a one-year business plan and ensuring the financial strategy for the business is in line with the plan
- Cashflow forecasting
- Identify/implement changes to systems as needed
- Invoicing clients and credit control
- Management of the year-end statutory accounts process via an external accountant
- Liaison with Project Managers for project forecasting against financial plans
- Sales forecasting for cash flow forecasting
- Assist the HR function in regard to holiday and impact on cash flow
- Overview of purchasing of goods and services and report against budget
- Lots of ad hoc project work and finance duties
- Experienced in Finance
- Ideally ACCA or CIMA qualified
- Able to work on own
- Used to setting up new systems
- An excellent attention to detail and accuracy, with a low error rate
- Ability to multitask and prioritise workload effectively
- A can-do attitude
- Available to start immediately
- Able to commit to an ongoing temporary position
- Flexible to increase hours as and when required
