SALARY: £30,000 - £40,000 dependent on experience
HOURS: Full Time flexible with start times from 7am to 9am Monday to Friday
JR Personnel are an employment agency acting on behalf of an excellent client who is looking for an experienced Purchasing Manager to work in an existing small team. This is a brand new role due to expansion for the business so they are looking for an experienced procurement person who can hit the ground running and work alongside and established purchasing employee. It is a fantastic opportunity to work in a dedicated and very friendly company who really look after their staff.
The Opportunity:
It is a permanent opportunity for a Procurement Manager based within a successful construction company based in Leicester, so a background of construction experience is desirable within purchasing as you will be buying in construction related products.
Role profile:- Working in a small team to complete all the Purchasing function
- Dealing with all suppliers and maintaining relationships
- Following all the procurement strategies in line with company procedure and protocols
- Liaise with suppliers and the in-house workshop to ensure deadlines are met
- Negotiate long and short term agreements with suppliers after investigation, analysis of tenders etc
- Take an active role in managing your suppliers / business contacts
- Manage supplier performance, ensuring deadlines are met
Person profile:- Proven experience in procurement
- Very advantageous if you have worked within construction/manufacturing
- Outgoing and strong communicator
- Practical approach to problem solving
- Ability to work under pressure and prioritise to meet deadlines
