Salary: £30,000 - £35,000 per annum
Hours: Monday to Friday full time
JR Personnel are an employment agency acting on behalf of a successful well established client who is looking for an experienced Buyer/Estimator who can complete accurate estimates to satisfy customer and industry requirements. Our client is looking fora highly organised and experienced person to join the estimating & buying team, ideally with a background in the joinery or metalwork fabrication industry. Our client is an end-to-end solutions’ company, operating in the retail and hospitality industries
Duties:
- You will be responsible for receiving enquiries and submitting quotations to the sales team within short lead-times
- Purchasing raw materials for production jobs as well as ensuring goods are received within the required timelines
- You should have the ability to manage your own workload and juggle tasks in order to satisfy the demands of the customer base & production team
- There are 5 people in this team currently so you can go in and make a real difference
- We are looking for somebody who will enjoy the office ‘banter’, as you all sit in one large open plan office
- Looking at cost reduction
- Working closely with other areas of the business
Person profile:- Previous experience within an estimator role is essential
- Previous buying experience a must
- Hard-working and willing to put in extra hours when needed (which of course works both ways)
- Excellent communication skills
- Friendly and approachable with a positive attitude
- Works well on own initiative and as part of a team
- Computer literate
- Good level of Maths
