Part Time Assistant and Administrator

Permanent for 23.5 hours per week

JR Personnel are an employment agency acting on behalf of a client who is looking fora strong assistant and administrator who can assist in supporting and coordinating between in-house teams that consist of marketing, supply chain and editorial. This role will require someone with a keen eye for detail as it will involve proof reading and writing.
 
Role profile:                   
  • Basic copywriting including adapting and proofing book blurbs and promotional materials
  • Dealing with artwork – clearing permissions and negotiating to budgets requirements
  • Coordinating design briefs
  • Communication with key stake holders in the business
  • Communication with external parties such as publishers, authors, actors
  • Manage costs in line with budget criteria and highlight variances to line managers
  • Report writing to show ongoing performance
  • Publishing KPIs
  • Pitching the products to develop ongoing effective working relationships
  • Supporting lobal publishing projects
  • Managing all appointments and meetings for manager
  • Lots of varied ad hoc tasks as and when required
 
Person profile:
  • Confident and self-motivated
  • Highly organised and efficient with a structured approach
  • High level of literacy and appreciation for books and modern fiction
  • Excellent communicator with good interpersonal skills
  • Strong analytical ability and attention to detail
  • Good problem-solving skills
  • Able to work individually but also as a team player working alongside a team and within the framework of long-established relationships and established business structures and strategies
  • Capable of meeting strict deadlines
  • Analytical thinker
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • Clear and confident communication skills
 
Essential criteria:                           
  • Educated to degree level or equivalent
  • 2 years + relevant experience
