HOURS: 39 hours per week Monday to Friday
JR Personnel are an employment agency acting on behalf of a client who is looking for an experienced Purchasing Manager to manage a small team of buyers
The Opportunity:
This position is a great opportunity, and our client is looking for someone long term to stay and be a pivotal person to the department. It is a permanent opportunity for a Purchasing Manager based within an established manufacturing company in Loughborough
Role profile:- - Managing the complete Purchasing function
- - Dealing with high profile suppliers and maintaining relationships
- - Implement procurement strategies in keeping with company procedure and protocols.
- - Liaise with suppliers and the in-house workshop to ensure deadlines are met
- - Negotiate long and short term agreements with suppliers after investigation, analysis of tenders
- - Take an active role in managing a small team of buyers
- - Manage supplier performance, ensuring deadlines are met
Person profile:- - Proven experience in procurement, advantageous if within construction/manufacturing
- - Outgoing and strong communicator
- - Practical approach to problem solving
- - Ability to work under pressure and prioritise to meet deadlines
- - Previous experience of managing a small team
