Q. What types of jobs does JR Personnel recruit for?

A. We help fill office jobs across the whole spectrum, mainly within reception, administration, secretarial, PA, IT, human resources, legal, customer services, marketing, finance, accounts and management. We can help with short or long term work, temporary, interim and permanent - full time and part time


Q. Is it free to register?

A. Yes, there are no charges


Q. Do I have to come in and register with you?

A. Yes you do, so we can discuss your career history and requirements in depth in order to match your skills and personality to the right job/company


Q. Do I need to bring anything with me?

A. Yes your passport or birth certificate as a form of I.D.


Q. How do I register with JR Personnel?

A. You will need to send us in your CV either by email or post and state what type of role you are looking for, the salary level, desirable location, type of contract - part-time, temporary, permanent etc.


Q. I have applied for a job but not heard anything back?

A. To check the status of your application please call or email us. You will receive an automatically generated email after sending your CV in via the web site or to the [email protected] address. Please note that due to large volumes of applicants, only those shortlisted for an interview will be contacted directly by a JR Personnel Consultant. If you haven't heard from us, it is likely you have been unsuccessful at this stage.


Q. What is the procedure for absence from a temporary assignment?

A. You must call the JR Personnel office at least half an hour before you are due to start work if you are unable to attend. We need to be made aware, even if you have already directly informed the company you are working for.


Q. If I decide to temp, will I get holiday, sickness and maternity pay?

A. Yes you will be entitled as long as you fulfill the criteria. Please ask one of our consultants for up to date information.


Q. Will you handle my tax and national insurance whilst temping?

A. Yes, we are responsible for this.


Q. If I am temping who will pay me?

A. JR personnel will pay you directly on a weekly basis usually into your bank account or by such method as may be agreed by the parties, after receiving a signed timesheet each week.


Q. Will I be allowed time off for interview whilst temping?

A. Yes, you will but you must be flexible on the expected hours you work and seek agreement from your line manager beforehand.


Q. Will you take up references with my current employer?

A. No, these are not taken up until after you have handed in your notice.
